**Chair will have to attend planning meetings during the time leading up to the event, and may
also have to recruit other volunteers.
Dash and Burn Soiree
Includes: A 7.5-Mile run or 1.25-mile hike to the secret location of the dinner
party and bonfire. You must be invited to the Soiree, and the only way to get an invitation
is by volunteering at a Running Fit event. All volunteers will receive an invitation,
and are asked to RSVP.
When: Saturday, June 12, 2010
Time: 5:00 pm (long dash) or 6:00 pm (hike) to ???
Where: It's a secret! (more details to come)
Cost: FREE to all event volunteers - you can't buy your way into this one!
Course: We know that not all of our volunteers are runners, so there are two courses.
One course is a 7.5-mile difficult, hilly run, and the other is a 1.25-mile hike. If you are a non-walker/runner,
let us know- We'll get you there!
High School AND Middle School Track & CC teams!
Martian will give EACH TEAM $200 donation toward their track and cc teams. We’ll also give awards to TOP THREE AID STATIONS – we’ll have HOODED sweatshirts for all volunteers.

To Qualify Michigan HS Teams Must
Have at least 6 team members present race day
Have 2 team members work as RACE STAFF working on parking, registration, traffic control, etc. (all RACE STAFF will receive extra hardware for their trouble). The rest work at the aid station.
AWARDS
Top 3 Aid Stations with the MOST spirit will receive tech running shirts from Mizuno to all race members present.
All teams receive Martian Marathon sweatshirts

Aid stations are judged on the following
Loudness – this is one of the few times when you will be awarded for being LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS! Bring boom boxes, mega phones, horns anything!
Theme: pick a theme and run with it. Think aliens, think astronauts, think stars, planets, outta this world . . .
Participation: the more people you got working with you the better!
