Why the Martian Marathon? Click here for the illustrated story. Earth marathons have strange themes, with your flying pigs and your convoluted, NASA-calculated encounter projections. Our finest Martian philosophers and theologians are working tirelessly to compose our own (as you call it) "trash talk", which we will shower upon you most mercilessly once our planet's runners prove victorious in winning all the races and snagging all the prizes.
We also noticed the course map is now on your website. Using the MSA's (Martian Space Administration) spatial-relationship viewer, we see your course is free of dust and rock, perhaps a solid surface. It could be quite fast
interesting. Time will tell who ends up kicking whose
The USATF certified course, is traffic free and fast. The Mini-Martian Marathon will encourage health and fitness to children, check out the Martian Kids link. All courses are out and back, chip timed. Hope to see all of you there!

METEOR 10K - A chance for us plodders to line up with the elites!
Martian Marathon announces prize money!
In addition to the $4,000 prize money at the Martian Meteor 10K, the interplanetary ground control committee announced today that cash will be paid for fast times in the Martian Marathon! The fine print, to be eligible for prize money, men must run under 2:25:00 and women under 2:50:00.
Prizes: First Place Male and Female - $1,000!
Second Place Male and Female - $500!
Third Place Male and Female - $300!
Here are the future dates we'll be landing on Earth!
